The North American Professional Education Institute was founded on a straightforward premise: professional credentials should reflect what a person actually knows and can do. In a landscape cluttered with certification programs that prioritize enrollment over competency, NAPEI was built to be different. Our programs are developed around demonstrated mastery, structured curriculum, and standards that hold regardless of who is applying.
NAPEI is not a membership club. It is an institution.
Our Standards
Every NAPEI program is built around a defined body of knowledge and a competency-based evaluation model. A credential issued by NAPEI reflects that the holder has met a specific standard — not that they completed a payment or sat through a required number of hours. We hold our curriculum to institutional rigor because the professionals who earn our credentials deserve nothing less.
The Founder
Mark Boulder is a military veteran, former supervisory federal officer with decades of experience operating in high-accountability environments. He is also an entrepreneur, men’s coach, and the creator of Internal Command™ — a methodology for restoring deliberate command over one’s own judgment, decisions, and outcomes.
NAPEI grew directly from Mark’s work in professional coaching and his firsthand experience with an industry that too often rewards payment over performance. He built the institution he wished had existed — one where a credential means something because earning it required something.
